I got the instructions for this hat from a blogspot. I did however have to make adustments as the hat was coming out way too large. A friend of mine also made this hat and found the same issue...there is no gauge provided.I reduced the rounds that were listed, and stopped increasing when the hat measured at 6-1/2 inches. I continued on with the pattern from there.

I made this for a friend who has cancer.
What are you most proud of?
I just love the end result. I also made the choice to use a different flower for my hat. I am happy with that decision. The flower is from Bonita Patterns. Lianka has chosen to share her design for it on Ravelry. She has generously done so, free of charge. Thank you Lianka! I have used this flower many times, it is my absolute favorite!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Be mindful of the size as you crochet. Both a friend and I found that this pattern made up larger for us than the pattern indicated, and there is no gauge provided to test beforehand.
