I laid out several different pieces of fabrics that had a color or two in each. Then looked at how each pattern of the fabrics looked together.Pattern shows a knot for the straps. I think buttons would work, too. Since I made for selling, I went with the knots.

What was your inspiration?
I have all kinds of fabric that have the same colors but the design/pattern in fabric is all different. I love the mix and match of colors and patterns.
What are you most proud of?
That I found a tub of old vintage aprons and one of the aprons was sheer, crispy and didn't feel good. However, it was edged in this wonderful wide lace! So I removed the lace and tossed the rest. I thought the lace should be re-purposed on to another apron!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just lay your fabric out to get an over all idea what shapes work together. I have a lot of small pieces of fabric so it is fun to mix and match.
