Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: Fondant, Sugar Paste, Dusting Powders, Floral Wire, Floral Tape, Ball Tools, Gum Glue, Cutters, and Veiners.

What are you most proud of? I would say the lifelike detail I was able to instill into the orchids, being able to breathe such life into sugar, is an awe inspiring feeling, and I am very proud of my ability to do so.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Practice makes perfect. Take what you are taught and run with it, take the techniques and fundamentals and apply it to what you see in nature, and learn how to replicate the shapes, sizes and colors.
