Instructions

I purchased hibiscus flower and leaf cutters and veiners for this project.

Difficulty:

Category: Food & Cooking

Type of item: Food

For: Women

Style: Traditional

Materials

Gum paste, glass flower vase, cloth covered florial wire, pasteurized egg whites, food grade dusting powder, miscellaneous modeling tools.

What was your inspiration?

The beauty and color of creation.

What are you most proud of?

Being able to bring a little joy into the lives of those who receive this sugar art.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be patient. Some parts of sugar art takes time to dry completely so as to go to the next step. Remember, what is created from sugar is not only delicate but fragile. Do not place the finished projects in refrigerators or freezers.

Thank you. This was a design I made up as I began to decorate the cake. I like doing free style cake decorating. I always tell my customers not to hold me to whatever style they choose.
