Thank you. Here is the basic pattern I started with: http://www.favecrafts.com/Crochet-for-Baby/Baby-Blue-Hat# I used 100% cotton yarn rather than what was called for, and dded a little embellishment (two flowers for the orange hat, a star for the blue). For the ties, I attatched the yarn to either side of the hat from the inside, chained about fifty (I think), and then made a matching embellishment at the end of each tie to match watever was put on the hat.

Thanks for the info....I have 3 little granddaughters that would look adorable in this hat. Too funny too, we are "neighbors", I live in Coventry! Small world! Have a great day!
