What materials did you use? Hand dyed cotton and a variety of 30's Madeira Rayon and Superior Rainbow threads I also used rat tail cord, leftover hand made cords and thick knitting yarn The i-pad cover was lined with velvet and bound with a piece of the main material. The rouleau cord and the button were also made with scraps of the main cloth.

What are you most proud of? I have learned so much about my sewing machine, and am amazed that the stitch patterns went round the curves without distorting.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Enjoy it! You will be amazed at the richness of the final piece.

Thank you, Sweet Pea, for your latest comment. I find that I am now trying more and more techniques with my sewing machine and am not quite so wary of the feet or the accessories - all thanks to Carol and her Stupendous Stitches. Have fun! Isobel
