What are you most proud of? Having starting painting 2 years ago, I decided I needed to boost my drawing skills. I found this class to be very informative

I am a beginner and I have not much of a collection set or neither I am planning to :)) so for me I go with very ordinary "0.5" size mechanical pen HB the lighter one i can use , then I have a mechanical pen which is 2B and a 6B sort of a pencil

from my point of view normally you can come out with different level of shading by just using one pencil may be " 4B", so as a beginner all you need is to practice shading tec. with one pencil or max. two and give dimension to your drawing through that and when you feel comfortable you can higher your level with more range of graphite sets, hope that was helpful and wish you all the luck with your drawings ...

I'm so sorry for not getting back to you! I've been traveling and this slipped right past me. There are a few variations, I would stick with either graphite pencils or charcoal pencils, because its easier to get a nice sharp tip. The graphite sticks are fun to draw with too but for this particular exercise I prefer graphite pencils (Sizes 2B B HB H) Charcoal , Hard & Med Your sketches are nice! Please keep it up. My only suggestion is to draw larger. Say maybe 11X14 inches at least. This will make it easier to achieve a higher value range, better form and more detail. Good work. I hope this helps, Please post more of your work soon:)
