Striped Tunic

Pattern Info

Pattern info for this project can be found here:
$5 in Paris »

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Clothing

For: Women

Style: Whimsical, Funky, Mod

Materials

50% wool 50% cotton yarn (spud and chloe sweater)

What was your inspiration?

I had some leftover skeins in these great colors... so I decided to stripe them, and modify the pattern to make a dress.

What are you most proud of?

No special increasing or waist shaping needed!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This is a really great pattern... great for a first sweater. And, you can just make it as long as you want!

did you do any special increases or decreases when you lengthened it from sweater to dress (for waist, hips, etc)?

This should compliment most any body shape as it appears to just "skim" right over the hip and tummy areas. Usually for larger physiques you go verticl not horizontally with the striping. You cleverly drew the up to the top with your change of colors---great work! I wish I could figure out how to get to this free pattern but.............
