What was your inspiration?

I'm trying to learn various techniques to help me proceed with a mariner's compass quilt pattern I will be doing soon.

What are you most proud of?

Stepping out of my comfort zone & using orange and greens.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Starch, starch, starch and have fun with it!

No, I've been buying all sorts of orange fabrics specifically for this project. I'm a traditional quilter normally. I've only been quilting about 2 years & wanted to learn the various techniques. Stretch that comfort zone a bit. :-) Yes, I like to check out what others are doing too!

Was the orange from you stash? I love the combination you came up with. I am using a paisley with a black background. A little tricky to mark, but loving it. Very different for me. I am so enjoying other peoples inspirations

Thank you! It's the first time I've used the color orange for a main color. I really stepped out of my comfort zone on this quilt. :-)
