What was your inspiration?
I have seen so many of the door jammer, door slammer things. We were using a sock to go between the striker plate and the door because when shut, it would move still from air and the cat. .. Especially the cat in the wee hours of the morning saying she was hungry. Well, the rocking of the door when shut was really loud. So, I decided to make a simple, functional one for myself
What are you most proud of?
That it fits! I did not measure, just kind of went with it! Used some people's examples, but didn't want ties and didn't want fabric. I wanted it to just slip over both handles.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Measure, do what you think will work for you and fit what you need. We still needed our door to close so this works out great!
