What was your inspiration?

I found an old pair of leggings and cut them up to make these. I am now selling them on my shop on etsy and just sold a pair two days ago to a gal in CA.

What are you most proud of?

That I still have the desire to sew even though I have had little encouragement from others.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't give up. Even when things look impossible and you are so low down and in the morning when your little studio waits your presence, stick with it. Make one thing a day or two if you can. I made six pairs of leggings in two days. That means I can sell them for a lower price instead of gouging ppl like so many sellers are doing. And another thing, don't think that all sellers make their own things. They don't! Many started out on etsy, Went professional, got a web site and hired staff to make the stuff but stayed on etsy and are now selling them commercially made as if they made them all. I am MAD! I reported them. I think they need to get off etsy and let us new crafter's have a chance to make it like they did. I hope I can get some of them off but I doubt.

Try not to be discouraged. Sewing can be a refuge against a sometimes-bitter world. I love what you've done!
