That looks great! I have a question though, is it possible to use the creaming method to make the cake batter? First mixing butter and sugar, then incorporating dry and wet alternately? Or will the final product turn out different. I've always wondered if you could use the same recipe but a different method to produce the same results.

Thanks I tested the recipe 6 times before it was perfect enough.
A good yellow cake recipe is not easy to find.
The cake would not turn out the same if you changed the mixing method. This cake falls into the high ratio cake category - the fat has to be mixed with the dry and then the liquids added in increments with precise mixing times.
All of this insures a light tender crumb and good volume (height) on the finished cupcakes.
