Choose your favorite layer cake and dive right in! This pattern uses 30 squares of the layer cake, some are cut in thirds for the sashing squares. Have fun! It's fast to piece and can be completed in an afternoon.Difficulty:

I used the "Strawberry Fields" layer cake by Moda fabrics, 1 1/2 yards muslin for sashing, and 2 1/8 yards fabric for borders, to create this quilt.
What was your inspiration?
My inspiration for this pattern was the "Strawberry Fields" layer cake by Moda fabrics (2008).
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of its color play and size--75 inches square.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you would like to complete this pattern but use it from yardage instead of pre-cuts, use my "Christmas Checkerboard Quilt PDF" instead.
