What was your inspiration?
The piece of black agate with the "lightening" bolts on both sides was so beautiful, and then I found a very limited amount of the aqua agate with the colors that looked to me like the colors of the sky and sea when a storm is coming. The necklace is heavy, but the stones are so smooth and cool against your skin that it feels wonderful to wear.
What are you most proud of?
The handmade toggle. I am just beginning to work metal, and I wanted the toggle to have something of a feeling of the lightening bolt that didn't come with the store bought one that matched the circle, so I tried, and I think it was very successful.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Be lead by your colors, and don't even try if you can't find the right stones. It could be done in other colors, but you would need to feel confident in them.
