What was your inspiration?
In Megs class "Sewing with Knits" she gave the Alabama Chanin web site for a resource. I ordered the book Alabama Stitch and went from there. If you like the look, these books give you all the knowledge you need to make a great knock off!
What are you most proud of?
My daughter thinks its very cool and wants one.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Megs instructions work great for dyeing the cloth. I enjoyed having a project to sit by the fire on these long winter nights
The technique is really easy but hunt down your thimble, the button hole thread through the knit can be tough.
