What materials did you use? Used portfolio, Crafter's Pick glue (it is what I had on hand. There may be better options.) Stupendous Stitching

What are you most proud of? Getting the fit sung along the curved edge and around the corners was a challenge. I hope that the glue will hold in these areas.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Check the fit often, before the rat-tail is attached. There is a bit of play in the fabric so that helps.

Beautiful!

Thank you.

I love this! Did you glue the stitched fabric to the leather?

Thank you. Part of the cover was "nylon fabric". I am hoping the glue will adhere to that better than leather/plastic. It is definetly a prototype.

I love this idea! I have a few similar portfolios I have accumulated from conferences, workshops, etc. that are all that basic (boring) black, usually with someone's logo or name printed or embossed on them. I'd love to customize them and use them.

This was my thinking too. Do you have better ideas for glue?

I have a few different glues in my drawer but after reading the labels, I think the one I would most likely try would be the Beacon brand Fabri-Tac. It claims it will bond "fabric, lace, glass, leather, wood and trims."
