Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Stupendous Stitching: Adventures in Surface Design »

Instructions

I think patience is required if the sewer hasn't investigated these materials and stitches before but once they do, it will open up a whole new creative area and inspiration for design.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Accessory

For: Unisex

Style: Cute

Materials

Batiks, couching materials, decorative stitches from my Bernina 350

What was your inspiration?

Carol's instruction. I would never have done this if it wasn't for her teaching. I am really glad I did it.

What are you most proud of?

Sticking with it, and using the materials suggested. Learning so much more about my machine and not being afraid to "put the pedal to the metal" as Carol likes to say:-) I also want to say that the letters on the front page are hard to read via photo but it says BERNINA. My alphabet on this machine is pretty small and I am not happy with it but there it is.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

See above. Also I used the information from the first 'pages' I had sewn from inside this 'bible' to decorate the title page. So it seemed I already needed the information I had come to figure out during this process, while doing this project!

I love the colors you've chosen. I haven't made one of these yet, but I've been considering it.
