I am not sure about the finished items, I struggled with the my first table mat, the autumn leaves.... I needed to let go of all the rules of a Bridal dressmaker! I am not used to raw edges! Materials
For the 2 Table Centre Mats I used 100% Cotton Fabric, Rayon, Metallic and Cotton Thread, Foils, Paint, Sequins and Beads. For the Bag I usesd wooden handles and magnetic snaps and lined it with one of the fabrics used in the autumns leaves mat, there are 2 internal pockets.
What was your inspiration?
I was inspired by the beautiful work of Carol and the great pieces of all the other students.
What are you most proud of?
I like the beading on the cone flower.
I am pleased with the bag made from the left over fabric pieces.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Relax and enjoy the no rules part!!!
