Mary - this is very original,, lovely idea! Did it take you long to make the valance? I agree with Carol - the pale colour uppermost ihas great effect.

Uuih. This looks real good. I could make one like this. We're having a long window Frontside with a wooden frame like this. How did you fix it there. Did you just make a panel like a tablerunner or a sort of a box with corners and edges on the sides? Thank you so much for sharing. This just looks gorgeous!

I'm glad you like it! We made a shadow box, stretched it over the top with batting in between. I used satiny repurposed curtains.
