This is stunning! How many layers did you sew together? It looks like more than 4, but perhaps you just sewed a lot of circles then slashed a lot? I am enjoying your class. Thank you!

Thank you! All the circles were made of 4 layers and the main background was also made of 4 layers. I'm glad you are having fun in my class!

These are all lovely. Some are truly very artistic works. Some I'd LOVE to own. But this one calls me, really calls me. I'm a huge fan of Gustav Klimt, and you seem to be channelling him here in a very modernized way. Love, love, love it! I'd even buy it in a heartbeat - seriously. Check him out if you aren't 'familiar: https://www.google.ca/search?q=Gustav+Klimt&hl=en&prmd=imvnsloa&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=_tn2T46nA4ev0AG20rjlBg&ved=0CGgQsAQ&biw=1148&bih=703

I am familiar with Klimt and also love his work. I think we are all influenced by other artists -- even sub-conciously. Actually, this piece was just purchased by a mining company here in Denver. I will be happy to see it once in a while because this is one of my favorites too!

Love how the circles seem to be drifting away from the group.

I love this. I don't understand exactly how you did it. Are they separate pieces stitched onto one large piece of background fabric?

It's rather complicated. The large rectangle is one piece and all the circles are made separately but I also stitched some free-standing circles directly onto the large rectangle.

I really love this piece. I don't have an artistic cell in my body, but I'm sure having fun trying!

Thanks! And trust me, you DO have artistic cells. You just have to find them through discovery!
