What are you most proud of? He brought it to work to show off his auntie's and mom's (she helped me)creative side. They were all impressed lol :)

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Do all you can in advance. Use the clearest grape juice you can find for the gelatin "ice cubes" but don't dilute it with water or else the ice gets runny. That was our only minor problem. Apparently they ate the cake up pretty fast!

I am going to be making a Bottle Cake and love your creation...which class did you take? There is a beer named after our sons' band, which they received "Beer of The Year" award. I want to make them a Beer Cake for November around Thanksgiving...gives me time to work on the details.

Hi CBurke. I replied in the "reply" box but can't tell if you got the message or not. I learned how to make the bottles off of Youtube. MakeYourOwnMold has a tutorial and so does Kayla1505. Search "how to make a sugar beer bottle." Both versions are good, one takes longer, one is cheaper. Watch both. I stacked 9"teir on 8"teir then sculpted. Make sure you use foam board in the middle and dowels for support. Have fun and congratulations to your son!
