What materials did you use? Jane Sassaman fabrics for the large squares, Jessica Levitt fabric for the small squares and rectangles. Quilted with number 8 pearl cotton.

What are you most proud of? This is my first completely finished quilt.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I'm a beginner, and I thought this project was challenging enough to be fun but not so challenging that it was frustrating. Closing up the open seams is a little tricky on small pieces. I would make all the pieces a little bigger if I were doing this over to give myself a little more room to work. If you quilt Xs, quilt the ends of the Xs to the seam allowance around the outside of the quilt instead of to the actual corners of the fabric. Otherwise the ends of the Xs will be covered up by the binding (as you can see on my quilt).
