Stash Buster Scarf

My 1st Woven Scarf

My 1st Woven Scarf

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Rigid Heddle Weaving »

Difficulty:

Category: Weaving

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Classic, Traditional, Outdoorsy, Cute, Casual

What was your inspiration?

I used an acrylic painted yarn that turned out to be self striping. I was interested to see how the pattern would emerge and I am pleased with the results. I gave the scarf to my mother for her 80th birthday Sunday and she was so happy with the scarf that she hugged it to herself. I am so proud that she loves it.

What are you most proud of?

I am so pleased that the selvage edges are neat and don't pucker.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be sure to be consistant with beating and keep the edges clean.

Is the only way to add pictures to your profile is to add through a class?
