Instructions

This quilt is a good example of how I follow patterns: I will invariably read something wrong or forget something and put the thing together wrong. I misread the directions and assemble the stars so that they don't weave. I could have ripped it apart and started again but I decided that I liked the 3D sensation of the stars so I left as is. I love that u "accidentally" got this great 3-D look! It's fantastic! I wish I could make mine this beautiful by accident or on purpose..lol you did a wonderful job. As for your stain as Peggy said tide 2 go is great, I use it all the time and it does the job if that doesn't work there is a product called LA's Totally Awesome and it is what it says AWESOME..lol I use it for everything from clothes stains to greasy dishes to my floor. It even gets Blood out! I get mine at the dollar store here in CA. It's not only cheap but works better then any expensive product I've ever used. It won't ruin your colors either!

I really love the graphic quality of your quilt! The Dreamweaver blocks are gorgeous - no one would ever know that you hadn't MEANT to piece them that way in the first place, as they are stunning! As far as your coffee stain goes, you might try some of the stain-remover products on the market that are safe for colors. The little tubes of Tide to Go seem to be fairly safe with colors.I have used them when I've spilled something on my clothes when traveling, and they don't seem to bleach out colors, but are good on things like food stains. Coffee could be a little trickier, though. You could also try wetting just the stained area with a solution of water and a product like BIZ that is safe for colored fabrics. (I wouldn't try bleach though, as that could get on those gorgeous stars!)

I wonder what would happen if you are unable to remove the stain...embrace it and do a brief coffee dye of the entire quilt...make it look old. It will mute the colors a bit, but at least you will have it out and seen...
