Materials
Osanaburg cotton in natural color for backing and block peices along with many other different cotton colored peices. I also used a variegated embroidery floss/thread in blue and green colors for the handquilting. I used a very simple running stitch diagonally across the quilt. I designed the whole quilt myself except for the starry blocks. For the main starry block designs I used a paper peiced pattern I found in a library book. Unfortunately, I forgot what book I usesd. I wish I had written it down. Finished size is 71 1/2 X 58 1/2 inches
What was your inspiration?
The stars. I found the pattern and just loved the many points. Plus, my husband really wanted me to make a quilt for ourselves. (I've always gifted mine away) This was the one we kept and it's a perfect size for us to use to snuggle on the couch!
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of the many colors I mixed together. I also do have to be proud of the binding. It came out very well.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Try to visualize how you want the quilt to come together with all the colors.
