A variety of 100% bulky wool yarns from the stash. US 11 circular needles; locking stitch marker, darning needle.

What was your inspiration?

My project, the Starma Bag. I wanted to make a basket, exploring the shape more, and putting the point at the top, as for a Christmas star. Still trying to work out how to make bones to hold it in shape.

What are you most proud of?

Using two stars as the basis for a 3-D project. There's some serious math in this design. I'm learning geometry even if I don't want to.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I wouldn't advice this project until I manage to find a way to make the basket support itself. The shape does not work as a bag.

Some project, while seeming an inspired idea, have serious drawbacks that set them on the back burner for years. This is one.
