I used a drunkerd path design which you cant see because I used black for the effect of black solar system. Use charms in any material you like to give it the effect of planets. I used cotton fabric. backing fabric, batting, swarovski crystals and a iron to put the crystals on.
What was your inspiration?
My instructor in my class. She had a Drunkards Path quilt that was black and charms material. It reminded me of the universe so I went from there with my own design.
What are you most proud of?
This is made from my own inspiration and not from someone else's pattern.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Take the class. We were shown how to do so many different patterns in a very easy way. It is also a very fun class.
