What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take it S L O W!!! Make sure the star portions in the center and on the corners are all the same dimensions when you cut them in half!!!

If your like me, I have to read directions 3-4 times before it clicks. Just take it slow...one step at a time...and I'm sure you will do great. Make sure the star portions in the center and on the corners are all the same dimensions when you cut them in half!!!

How did you do the middle squares? I can't get mine to look right at the center point.

Hi DeAnna, What I learned, was that when you cut the assembled squares make sure they are all the same dimension before re-assembling or it won't come out right. Not sure if this is the problem you are having, but that is what I found.

Your spin on the star is beautiful. You are a very talented quilter. I love the vibrant colors you chose. After this amount of time how are the colors holding up? 2015-05-27. You had lots of comments on your quilt... I'll just bet that you inspired some free-thinking on quilting.. I've forwarded the web page to my friend, she's an avid quilter while I'm a baby quilter..

Thank you for your kind words. I actually got my inspiration from an Amish website that had the beautiful bright colors. I love this quilt, although it almost put me in the funny farm before I got it all figured out ;). We have it on our bed and it is holding up very well...though I haven't washed it yet.
