What was your inspiration?
A dear friend loves stars, anything with stars she has to collect. She had asked me for a fall set hat, eternity scarf, fingerless mitts, and bangle set. At that point, the only bangle I had that she liked was the braided one (found here in my projects). So I decided it was time to design a cute bangle using the star stitch she loves so much. It was an instant hit and the huge smile was the confirmation that I had made the right decision.
What are you most proud of?
Designing a bangle bracelet showing off the star stitch at its best.
Being able to include the option of using beads to make the bangle!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Read the pattern over, practice the star stitch with scrap yarn before trying it with more expensive yarns.
Follow the 2 video links to learn how to apply beads and to do the chainless foundation beginning chain.
There is a written tutorial to do the star stitch in the pattern.
