What was your inspiration?
My scraps just "spoke to me," as they often do. I decided to try designing a crazy patch block with a star in the center. I designed the center section for paper piecing, then just crazy patched any which way toward the edges of the block.
What are you most proud of?
I love the way the star came out, especially with that emphasis with the metallic thread. I was so pleased with the result that I'm making two more of these. (This first one is already sold, but I'll eventually list the others.)
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just play, play, play. When one is working with small scraps there is so much to gain and so little to lose!
