What advice would you give someone starting this project? No mistakes and make it work. After applying the appliqu I thought it too ugly to continue; now look at it.

Wow. Love how the couching and decorative stitches add so much to the design. Remember, all art goes through an ugly stage. You proved that working through this stage can result in something beautiful. Nice job!

Agreed; I always tell my mosaic friends that just because you see all the mistakes no one else will. My Great Uncle says.... that's what make the horse races; if all the horses were the same, we'd have no winners

thank you. I try to just let go and have fun like she says. I am learning "the hard way" everything has an ugly stage and like she says "there are no mistakes" just because I hate it doesn't mean someone else won't love it. You can make just about anything work.
