What materials did you use? 100% cotton fabrics, Clover's Fusible Metallic Bias, Warm and Natural Batting, Pattern from Christmas Traditions in Stained Glass by Brenda Henning. 4mm twin needle to stitch down the bias tape. Metallic thread.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Adhere squares with fusible web, especially if it will be created in stages and stored between sewing time. Make the squares slightly (1/16") larger than stated in the pattern. They will overlap slightly which will be covered by the bias tape. I used a satin stitch to adhere the poinsettias to the background fabric. The fusible metallic bias can be a bit challenging. Follow the steps for sewing as instructed in the book to create the basket weave effect of the bias strips so that proper overlapping is achieved. Initially, I used monofilament thread to stitch the bias tape, as instructed. I do not like this kind of thread so I ripped it out and restitched the bias tape with gold metallic thread. I added a false backing to hide all of the stitching, then added the binding.

Gorgeous! The metallic binding certainly gives this the WOW factor, well done!
