Materials

Rosy Green Wool, Big Merino Hug in Coffee Bean (I think just over 4 skeins). I used some leftover scraps to create the loops for closure.

What was your inspiration?

This was all part of the "Squishy Series" I had originally been inspired by the diamond cable motif, and imagined it would look great on all sorts of garments. The vest is the final in the series.

What are you most proud of?

Creating a short-row collar that looks really cute folded-over or straight up.

I also like how flexible the final closure can be... use toggles, leave them out, use a shawl pin, or buttons, or even snaps!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be ready for some cable-y goodness! The first rep of the cable pattern is tough, but afterward it's super easy.
