Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: I have a little bit of a Minion Freak of a 5 year old living under my roof. He's absolutely obsessed. Especially when they get squished and have no mouth! For this cake I did a three layer, 8" zebra cake. I used vibrant blue buttercream under the fondant to go with the Despicable Me theme. I covered the cake in yellow fondant, and added all the details in fondant. The only thing I should have done differently was pre-cut everything needed for the eyes and let them sit overnight. The limbs were also made of fondant, but because of the weight of them, I had to reinforce them with toothpicks. This was our final result, needless to say I had a bunch of very happy minions to eat it!
