Instructions

Squeaker the Cat pattern is for stitching up a 4" jointed cat. The easy to follow instructions are illustrated step by step and include directions for dying upholstery velvet to make a tabby or siamese cat. This is a really fun project, you can stitch up cats all the colors of the rainbow.

What was your inspiration?

Squeaker the Cat is one of my sisters cat's. They love to pose for my illustrations and also inspire some of my fun stamps.

What are you most proud of?

Getting my Elf Bear pattern published in Soft Dolls & Animals magazine. They did a great job photographing him, it was great fun seeing my pattern in a magazine and put me in contact with more artisans.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Dye your fabric the day before you want to start your project. This is a fun project for a group of friends so get a few empty ice cream buckets for the dye and everyone can design their own custom cat.
