What was your inspiration?

I wanted to make a gift for my sister's baby granddaughter in New Zealand for her to take out when she was going to visit.

What are you most proud of?

I had only two weeks to complete this, so I am pleased with how it turned out as it was so rushed. Also it was my first attempt at machine quilting.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Give yourself enough time!!!!!

Don't worry - as soon as it hits the washing machine a few times, it will look just fine and well loved - I always plan on baby quilts in particular being washed, rewashed, and USED -- Don't save it for "someday"

So pretty - great job in such a short time. Your family must be thrilled. Nothing like a little pressure to get the creative juices flowing. Wonderful

Haha the pressure was certainly on but worth it, I was pleased with it but dissapointed with the machine quilting as it was rushed and my first time so the straight lines were more like squiggles!

Thanks for the lovely comment... My sister actually cried when I gave it to her as it was a surprise for her and the little family out in NZ, so it was worth the effort!
