What was your inspiration?
I was sat in the conservatory contemplating what to make today, the sun was shining in and it was offically the first day of Spring.
In the garden I could see the beautiful yellows of the shrubs in the garden and I had a look through my materials and pieced together some colours that I think represent Springtime.
What are you most proud of?
I like the overall suny warm feel it seems to bring to any room.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
You don't need to have the wire frame to work round, but I found it makes it sturdier, its just a small wire frame that you would use to make a wreath with oasis and flowers.
If you CAREFULLY run the ends of the ribbon through a naked flame, it will seal the ends of the ribbon off to prevent fraying. Don't make the same mistake I did when i first did this and then pinched the end and as it goes slightly sticky at the end, it stuck to my finger and was very, very, VERY hot. Just wave it about a few seconds and it cools down.
You can either stitch or glue on the buttons and flowers, I've done both - just to make sure.
