What was your inspiration?
On a gray winter day while I was sorting my stash of fabrics by colors and sizes of scraps, I envisioned early spring with Easter eggs and grass. This could be the Easter Bunny's paint box with hundreds of little brightly painted eggs on the border. It was just a fun way to use colorful fabric scraps. The approximate finished dimensions are 35 x 39 suitable for a crib quilt or wall hanging for baby's room.
What are you most proud of?
Designing and executing my own simple pattern.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Look through your stash of fabrics, select a color scheme or a rainbow of colors. Map out your top on graph paper. My finished blocks are 2 x 4 and the sashing is 1-1/2 wide. The green border is 1-1/4. The outer border is 4-1/2 wide, because that is how much fabric was available in my inventory.
