What are you most proud of? When I watch my little granddaughter have fun with something I have made for her. Also I am very pleased with my quilted petal shapes:) Update..... I just love to see my two little granddaughters playing with the quilt 2 years on:)

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Choose lots of colours, have fun with it and hand quilting is best as thick batting is needed because it is used as a playmat.

So sorry Ranjini, as I am only seeing this post now! You will surely have fun making this and the pattern is very easy to follow... only suggestion I would make is to not stuff centre of flowers so full as I had a bit of a job trying to hand sew them on. Oh and be sure to machine stitch the petals on first before the centre of flower. Look forward to see yours:)

LOVE this! Hoping for one more grandchild, but not knowing what will come means I have to work on unisex things for a while :-) Your granddaughter is so precious! Hope I get to make something this fun!

Pam this is so much fun to make and my daughter had another little girl and is having the same joy from it... maybe I will post up a picture of both of them having fun on it:) I am actually making a tummy time sensory quilt for my little grandson at mo:) It is so exciting wondering... can't wait to hear if you have a granddaughter or grandson.

I read a comment you made somewhere else about Sensory quilts and thought of this pattern. I have also made one which is still in the quilting process. I hope to finish it sometime soon. I started it when my daughter was born last year. I may have to have another baby just for this quilt. I hope to get pictures up to when I'm done. I am in love with this quilt. Thank you for sharing your masterpiece!

Ooh I cant wait to see yours... I will have to keep a watch for when you put it up. My two little granddaughters are having fun with this one as my daughter had another little girl. I am presently making two sensory quilts for my two new grandkids... one at the quilting stage the other I am just beginning. I will post them when they are complete. And thank you so much for the lovely comment :)
