I followed the instructions given on the blog, but I decided to crochet the beaks so they were more baby friendly than the felt. The addition of the beaks made the top shell not fit as well, so I eliminated that and decided the chicks didn't look complete anymore, so they got combs. What was your inspiration?
The item itself - so cute! I thought of my niece immediately - she's approaching her first birthday.
What are you most proud of?
This was my first major crochet project. I had only learned a few weeks before falling in love with the chicks and had only done very minor and super easy projects.
