What was your inspiration?
This was for an Easter party. I had just learned how to use the basket weave technique and wanted to make this with a pastel checkerboard cake. I really like the way it turned out.
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of the basket weave design. It is difficult to get right but the end results are so beautiful.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Take your time. Patience is key. If you rush through it you will not get good results.
