What materials did you use? Acrylic paints on canvas. Decorated with buttons, beads, charms, tiny ornaments and old toys.

What are you most proud of? I love that my kids love it and love pointing out all their favourite 'treasures' to me.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make sure you use the right glue!

What is the right type of glue?????

I used a product called 'super craft glue', but I would not describe it as super glue because it was not as tacky and difficult to work with.

what's not to love!! What a fun way to show off your button collection - and other pretty bits too!

Wow! I love the fact that you don't hold back and you just go for it... it's like stream of conscousness sewing and you just add whatever comes into your head! i love that. (Hard to type with a cat half across my chest blocking my view and on my arm creating weight...!)

Hehehehe, thank you. Cats can get anyway with everything can't they. I used to have two and they were completely in charge of my husband and I, lol.

Colorful buttons do make wonderful additions to creations, don't they?

I have lots of stuff like this, some from a styrofoam tree I decorated it with many years ago and recently took it apart(what wasn't falling apart. I juat had an idea now, since large canvas can be quite expensive, to look for one at a yard sale, no matter what is on it and it may even be framed and I could take it home, prime it and paint and design over it! Thanks for the idea!
