Buy an old shutter from a garage sale or thrift store. Remove any handles, clean with soap and water. After it is dry spray paint the shutter the desired color. After the paint has dried reattach the handle or I got a cute drawer pull from a local hobby store that fit my theme. Buy stencils, stencil paint and brushes from your local craft/hobby store. Position the stencils onto the shutter where you would like the design. I used scotch tape to hold the stencil in place. If the tape peels some of the paint off just touch it up after you are done stenciling. After the stencil is dry attach the picture hanging brackets to the back of the shutter in the desired place. You can buy these at any hardware store and they come with the nails. Hang your project on the wall and place the seed packets in the louvers of the shutter. You could also use old postcards or if you have a Christmas theme you could use old Christmas cards. I think it would look extra cute hanging on a fence near the garden.
