What was your inspiration?

My inspiration was the spring chicks and ducks at TSC! A friend of mine is starting a farm, and so we've been buying chicks and ducks together, he is going to be raising them for eggs to sell at our local farmers market. All our oven mitts need to be replaced, and I fell across these super cute fabrics and this pot pincher pattern at my local quilt store (which is conveniently located across the street from the feed store!) and viola! Inspiration :)

What are you most proud of?

I am most proud that I was able to FINISH something so cute in an afternoon! I start lots of projects and then get bored or stuck and have to start something else and come back to it. These are SO CUTE, and so easy :)

***UPDATE**** These pot pinchers took a 2nd Place Red Ribbon at our County Fair!!! July 2012

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I would advise you to make more than one set!!! Plus, your friends are going to love them so much they'll be asking you to make some for them - and it's a great thing to share!!!
