What was your inspiration?
I needed some baskets for Easter and spring decorating. Deciding to try using jute was a spur of the moment whim while looking for cotton rope at the department store. It was pretty cheap, so I bought a few spools.
What are you most proud of?
It isn't easy crocheting with jute; it's tough and unyielding, so it makes your fingers and wrists kind of sore. I had to do it a bit at a time, so I'm proud I finished it, and another smaller one, too.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Maybe be sure to crochet loosely, but that's easier said than done sometimes.
