Using Japanese 11/0 cylinder beads and peyote stitch I made a base "canvas" that is 3 3/4" wide by 10 3/4" long. The top was wrapped around the tapestry rod and stitched closed. I embellished the entire piece of "Peyote Canvas" that I had made with basically pink and green beads, a little blue and pearls. I wanted to invoke a garden with the disc beads of lampwork glass acting as flowers.Difficulty:

What was your inspiration?
The lampwork disc beads in greens and pinks - I wanted to create something beautiful with them. A bejewelled jewelry tapestry.
What are you most proud of?
I finished the project!!!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Work out your design on paper when you have collected the beads you love and want to use. Decide how you want to make your base canvas - mine in peyote stitch using 11/0 seed beads took a very long time to make. This was the tedious part - the embellishing kept me up late at nights - such fun!!!!
