Instructions
I don't remember which magazine issue this pattern is in. Any help here would be appreciated. If you recognize it please refresh my memory. Materials
Quilt cottons, quilt supplies and buttons for embelishment.
What was your inspiration?
The shop owner asked me to give a class on the varies forms of applique using this pattern. The flowers are steam-a-seamed in place with an accent zig-zag satten stitch around the edges. I added the buttons to the centers of the flowers, on the vase and at the outer centers of the buds. The pettles on the frame are turn needle stitched with the use of freezer paper and hand stitched in place. The corners are a part of the original design using paper piecing and appliqued in place on a square block.
What are you most proud of?
The finished look. I almost forgot about the top until it was returned to me after she colsed her shop.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It realy is simple and a lot of fun. The best part was playing with all the different ways it can be dressed to suit you.
