Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: To decorate this cake I used homemade white chocolate fondant to cover the cake and marshmallow fondant to make the frills. The dogwoods were made using gumpaste and floral wire and tape. I used amazing mold putty to make a mold for the flower centers.

What are you most proud of? I think this is certainly one of my best looking cakes, and I'm proud it turned out so well, and went to a good cause.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make sure you have a pasta roller!

SherylBr, what size are your dogwoods? I have a 3 inch cookie cutter and I think that's to big.

I used the dogwood cutter and veiner set from Sunflower Sugar Art SV-015. It is 2 1/4 inches across from petal tip to petal tip.
