100% Cotton White T-shirt, The embroidery stitches used in this one is the spider-web rose (large hot pink flowers), ribbon stitch (yellow flowers), colonial knots and the running stitch (pink, purple and lavendar flowers).
What was your inspiration?
Refashioning a plain t-shirt by enhancing it with the Victorian medium--Silk Ribbon Embroidery.
What are you most proud of?
I was able to capture this design from a picture. It is not identical as I try to individualize each project to make it special for its recepient.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't be afraid to play with color when selecting the color and size of the silk ribbon. Also, it is okay to diversify the stitches. Because of the type of medium, silk ribbon, it is best to hand wash these blouses and dry them flat.
