The Beaded Stress Ball pattern calls for fingering weight with size 8/0 (3 mm diameter beads), but I wanted to show that it sizes up nicely, too. Myabe for much larger hands -- or just to make something pretty? This one is done in a thicker yarn and larger beads. I chose going up just one needle size to retain a firm fabric where the stuffing would not show through easily.

What was your inspiration?
The traditional knitting approach to balls such as this are not symmetrical side-to side. Since I was adding bead embellishment to the design, I unvented a (probably) approach that results in nearly symmetrical sections that look like the outer sections of a peeled orange.
What are you most proud of?
In progress photo shows the first section completed. Its hard to capture the 3-dimentionality of this at this stage since the stitches are being held in a straight line on the needle I was using, but that completed part is basically like the outer surface of a peeled orange section.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
